Passion for Paws was founded 7 years ago when John, who was training his aggressive Pit mix Annabell, and Michelle, who was training her Rottweiler, Bailey, to be a therapy dog, met under the tutelage of Bill of Bill’s Dog Training. At the time of their meeting, Michele, with Bill’s help, was 15 years into rehabilitating and fostering Rottweilers. John, after witnessing the wonderful work done with Annabell, began to volunteer his time to assisting in Bill’s classes with Michele. The pair eventually began working under the mentorship of Bill and, after several years when Bill brought about plans to retire, they agreed to pick up where he left off. Under the name Passion for Paws Dog Training, John and Michele have been helping dogs and their people to become healthy and behaviorally balanced.
Since it’s conception, Passion for Paws has picked up a few apprentices. Tiffany has a fantastic knowledge of dogs and dog training, and her dogs, Rhino and Hemi, are stars of the demo. Dave, who started out as a student, began helping with trainings with his dogs Demon and Luci. Amanda and Travis are a couple who started out as students with their dog, Ranger, now bring all their fosters through Passion for Paws trainings and loan a helping hand with some of the more difficult classes. Levi is the PFP protégé who also began as a student with his Lab. At only 13 years old he has the great gift to be able to read a dog’s body language, remain calm during times of stress, and be a wonderful help to the dogs and their people.
With all the extra hands and dedicated hearts, Passion for Paws is able to help give every student the individual attention they may need.
We are a group of people who really love dogs and want to be a help for you and your pup to achieve and surpass all of your goals.
